It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Lena Shoop of McBain, Michigan, born in Cadillac, Michigan, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Nelson and Myrle Nelson (Brainerd); her husband Melvin Shoop; her great grandchild Sarah Hirding; her son-in-law Bobby G. Baker; and her siblings, Judith Nelson, Elmer Falor, Gordie Falor (Shirley), Helen Duncan, Kate Giffels (Richard), June Dawson, Beverly Roth, Mike Nelson and Johnathon Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Shoop of Kalamazoo, Teresa Paxton of Lansing, Gregory Shoop of Cadillac, Kevin Shoop (Tonia) of Cadillac and Kimberlee Baker of McBain; her siblings, Carol Freese of Cadillac, Pauline Freese (Phil) of Cadillac and Jackie Turnblom of McBain; and her pet Tigger.
