He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorr Gilde and Geraldine Gilde (Rickard); his daughter Terri Gilde; his sisters, Doreen Baldwin and Geraldine Fay Boonstra (Dale); and his nephews, Teddy Medendorp and John Medendorp.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Ann Gilde of McBain; his children, John Gilde IV of Lake City, Traci Gilde of LeRoy and Zoey St (Kaine); his stepdaughter Megan Woolston (Jeff) of Holt; and his brother-in-law James Baldwin of Berea. He is also survived by one grandson, 3 granddaughters, 3 great granddaughters.
