He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Pluger and Elizabeth Pluger (Ellens); his daughter Julie Ann Johnson; his sister Judy DeHaan (Gary); and his in-law Robert DeYoung.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma "Skip" Pluger of McBain; his children, Jennifer Davis (Chad) of Howard City, Jeff Pluger (Diana) of McBain and Jessica Mattison of McBain; his grandchildren, Ryleigh, Kayleigh Davis, Mikayla, Mariah Pluger, Logan, Karly, Allison Mattison, Justin, Jamie and Josh Johnson; his siblings, Leone DeYoung of Jenison, Hermina "Mike" Sjoerdsma (Dave) of Jenison, Marge Brinks (Dale) of Cadillac and Jean Webster (Karl) of Tustin; his in-laws, Jeanette Haglund of Texas, Wayne Schipper (Sandy) of Hudsonville and Carla Seaton (Michael) of Kentwood; and also Jeremiah Johnson of McBain.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rehoboth Reformed Church (8372 S Lucas Rd, McBain, MI 49657). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made out to the National Marrow Donor Program at 500 N. 5th Street.
