He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hoffman and Vivian Hoffman (Boyce); his stepbrothers, Art Hancock and Dick Hancock; and his brother-in-law Bill Barber.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne B. Hoffman of McBain; his children, Darci Plumley (Matt) of Sumner and Brandi Hoffman of McBain; his grandchildren, Addison Plumley, Bianca Plumley, Brenden Russell and AvaRayn Russell; his brother Pete Hoffman (Kara) of South Carolina; and his in-laws, Esther Barber of McBain, Karen DeRuiter (Don) of Lake City, Bob Lutke (Pam) of McBain and Carol Lutke (Jim) of Manton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
