“My deepest condolences to all my cousins in the loss of Aunt Betty. I remember looking forward to stopping to see Aunt Betty and Uncle Lawrence when we went north to see Grandma Vanderwoude. I so remember those fresh buns with butter and sugar along with Sunday dinner and then getting a bag of buns to take home from Aunt Betty. I so admired their work ethic on the farm and the hospitality always shown to anyone and everyone. The peace of our God be with you all, love Frank Dykstra”

Lorna Schripsema wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of Betty Taylor, Wishing you peace to bring comfort, and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. I remember stopping by for a cup of coffee, all the while she would be busying herself in the kitchen. Betty was either in the middle of making, cleaning up after, or starting a new batch of buns. I can’t imagine how many weddings she provided these famous buns for. Every time I make them I think of Aunt Betty.......... and yes I have the recipe. ❤️ All my love.”
