It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Hnidy (Maybee, Michigan), born in Sparta, Tennessee, who passed away on January 11, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Geer and Odell Geer (Maggart); her husband Sylvester Hnidy; her sister Betty Hollerman; and her stepfather Eldon Pyron.
She is survived by: her son Stephen Hnidy (Lora); her grandchildren, Jessica Emrick (Vince), Alex and Keith; and her great grandchildren, Zane Vescelius, Ryleigh and Lucas Emrick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation in her name.
