He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles Witte, Alice Witte-Blum, Richard Blum, Harold Helzer and Margaret Helzer; and his uncles, Peter Bogoski, George Witte and Tom York.
He is survived by: his parents, James Helzer and Amy Helzer (Witte); his sister Bethany Serbin (Shawn) of Miller Place; and his aunts and uncles, Jane York, Eileen Bogoski, Gary Witte (Winie), Carole Bogoski (Gerald), Jill Chacon (Tony), Shirley West (James) and Nathan Witte.
Memorial contributions in honor of Jon may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
