He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Barnier and Mary Barnier (Aiston); and his siblings, John Barnier, Sidney Barnier, Francis Barnier, Danny Barnier and Darlene Rhoton.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Murray; his children, Burle Barnier (Sue), James Barnier, Anthony Barnier (Ammi), Aaron Barnier and Eric Barnier; and his sisters, Ester Secor, Mary Lamkin, Betty Norris and Ina Doughtery. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
