She was predeceased by: her parents, George William and Velma Louise Cargo (Cooper); and her husband Jerome Steven Buchanan. She is survived by: her children, Jessica Buchanan, Jarrett Buchanan (Corey Skartsiaris) and Michelle Johnson (Demetrius); her grandchildren, Byron, Amir, Nathanial, Cam'ron, Devon, Andrue, Owen and Jalyn; her great grandchildren, Laila and Byron; her brothers, George Cargo (Maryann) and Donald Cargo; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Redmond (Steven), Garrie Smith (David), Tina Fennessee and Timothy Fennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
