It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Posthumus of Mattawan, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Posthumus and Anna Posthumus (Schuring); and his brothers, Henry, Thomas, Claus and Robert Posthumus.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Long; his stepchildren, Stephen Obenour and Linda Dzurny; and his stepgranddaughters, Kimberly and Kara.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
