We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Alvin Claxton of Mattawan, Michigan, born in Evarts, Kentucky. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Claxton and Della Claxton; his son David Claxton; and his siblings, Jimmy Robbins, Eyvind Claxton, Ervin Claxton, Anna Mae Nolan and Pearl Johnson.

He is survived by: his pet Doodles; his wife Jan Claxton; his children, Crista Stencel (Stephen) and Danny Claxton; his grandchildren, Carrie (Josh), Amanda (Jon), Brandon (Mary), Daniel (Brittney), Matthew, Alec, Jacob, Griffen, Kristin, Gracen, Abbie, Andrew and Maddie; his great grandchildren, Madison, Kamryn, Charlotte and Bailey; and his brothers, George Claxton and Leon Claxton (Sandy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his Masonic Brothers.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Alvin to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, the Michigan Masonic Home or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
