He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanne; and his siblings, Lyle Nevins and Donna Wood. He is survived by: his parents, Lyle E. and Mattie M. Nevins (Ellis); his sons, Roger Nevins Jr. of Lansing, Reese Nevins of Grand Ledge, Robert Nevins of Eaton Rapids and Russell Nevins (Angela) of Nashville; and his brother Jim Nevins (Carol) of Holt. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
