He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Nelson (Roy) of Gladstone; his grandchildren, Adam, Makenzie and Maren; his stepchildren, Maleyna Nelson (Garrett Feathers) and Roy Nelson IV; his son Steven Higgs (Cheryl) of Decatur, IL; his grandchildren, Sam and Lila Higgs; his brother Larry Higgs (Judy) of Mason; and his sister-in-law Joyce Higgs of Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
