He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Steele and Linda Steele. He is survived by: his brothers, Todd Steele (Julaine), Steve Steele (JoAnn) and Paul Steele; his nephews, Troy Steele (Lisa), Tyler Steele (Kerrigan), Brian Steele and Evan Steele; and his close friend Mary Elrod. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I met Scott in the summer of '77. We both lived on Vermont Ave., Marysville. He became my first friend in town. He offered friendship without conditions. I had several opportunities to have fun with Scott and our mutual friends Rick Walker, John McNichol, and others. Great memories of camping, cooking (Harvest Table), cruising Port Huron, sailing, and dinners at Mother's Pizza and, most recently, at the Lynwood Bar fish fry. Take care, Steele family!”
