He was predeceased by: his father Paul Urben; and his sister Carol Kasper. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Peterson; his children, Paul Urben (Jennifer), David Urben, Greg Urben (Nicole) and Alicia Urben; his grandchildren, Ariel, Phoenix, Benjamin, Rylee and Summer; and his siblings, Cathy Staniek (Chris), Theresa Nardozzi (Ed), Mark Urben (Daria) and Charles Urben. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to St. Stephen Catholic Church.
