He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence O'Brien and Emily O'Brien; his son John O'Brien; his son-in-law Brian Sullivan; and his siblings, Frank O'Brien, Mary Zambelli and Barb Harrison.
He is survived by: his children, Julia Sullivan, Patty (Jeff Troy), David (Joyce O'Brien) and Dan (Luz O'Brien); his grandchildren, Tim Troy (Kelly), Emily Sullivan (Markus), Jeremy Troy (Allison), Brian Sullivan (Ambrosia), Kristen Boxberger (Brandon), Jordy, Arron, Cameron (Rachel), Donavan and Charlie O'Brien; his great grandchildren, Brendan, Parker, Jonathon and Pierson; and also Donna Swarbrick. He is also survived by great grandchild expected soon; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church (325 32nd St, Port Huron, MI 48060).
