He was predeceased by: his parents, William MacPherson and Margaret MacPherson; his stepmother Edna MacPherson; and his siblings, Carol Robinson, Janice Willis and Tom MacPherson.

He is survived by: his children, Vicki Mertz and Edward MacPherson Jr. (Tammy); and his siblings, Dan MacPherson, Gail Lawson, Pat Knisley and Ruth Crocker. He is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.

Memorial tributes can be made to the Blue Water Hospice Home.
