She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Boniface and Lefa Boniface (Jones); her spouse Sierd "Butch" Hoekstra; her daughter-in-law Barbara Hoekstra; and her brothers, Gale and Dale Boniface.

She is survived by: her sons, Randy Hoekstra (Dawn) of Shelbyville and Todd Hoekstra (Sheila) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Tracy Blake (Raigen), Scott Hoekstra (Katlynn), Trevor Hoekstra, Jeni Grabau (Andy), Rick Hodges (Sarah) and Jason Cope (Brad); her great grandchildren, Lilliana Hoekstra, Aubree Hodges, Daniel Grabau and Raven Grabau; and her sister-in-law Gert Hoekstra.
