He was predeceased by: his parents, Harm Alles and Martha Alles; his parents-in-law, Gerrit and Jeanette Meekhof; and his brother James.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Alles; his children, Sandy Kas (Dale), Debra Holtrop (Don) and Linda Constant (Roland); his grandchildren, Steve Kas (Felicia), Robert Kas, Eric Kas (Tamara), Tyler Kas (Letizia), Jack Constant (Julia), Anna Cook (Adam), Douglas Holtrop (Jessica), Katie Schepers (Timothy), Marcia Stonehouse (Jordan) and Michelle Speet (Steven); and his siblings, Jacob Alles (Julia), Janet Vandermolen (Chuck) and Gerald Meekhof (Shirley). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
