He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Walter and Ella Elizabeth Franke (Brehm); and his stepson Drew Haring. He is survived by: his children, Carol Franke Owens (Park), Barbara Franke Newman (Richard), James Franke (Jennifer) of Ann Arbor, Patty Franke Williams (Kelly) of Marshall, Michigan and Carlos Galarce of Iowa; his daughter-in-law Lee Galarce of Lake Zurich, Illinois; his stepchildren, Jessica Lundevall (Torjus) of Highland Park, Curt Kaplan (Lauren) of Los Angeles, Hilary Loretta (Mark), Chelsea Haring-Cozzi (Anthony) of Fishers and Erin Haring-Switzer (Shannon) of Carmel, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Kate Belew, Grace Belew, Aidan Belew, Hannah Newman McConnell (Stanton), Samuel Newman, Ryan Franke, William Franke, Allison Franke, Sarah Owens Firlik (Kyle), Christopher Owens, Alexander Galarce, Max Galarce, Kaja Rumney (Fred), Tellef Lundevall, Iselin Lundevall Issa (Brandon), Hallvard Lundevall, Frankie Loretta, Lucy Loretta, Oliver Kaplan and Leo Kaplan. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
