He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alfred and Elinor Jean Staib (McCauley); and his siblings, James, Jeffrey, Michael Staib and Linda Medich.
He is survived by: his son Austin Slack (Mother-Kerri Slack); his siblings, Pam Warsop, Kimberly Staib, Rocky Staib, Dana and Wes Bender; and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Staib and Daniel Medich. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews & great-nieces & nephews.
