He was predeceased by: his parents, Allyn Jay Ackerson and Margaret Ellen Shilton; his sons, Jeremy and Eric; his brother Larry; and his sister-in-law Sharon.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his children, Christine Spohr (Steven), Nicholas (Sara), Nathan (Karina) and Christopher Bennett (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Ashley Tupper (Chad), Eric Spohr (Tonian), Dylan Spohr, Elijah, Gideon, Rayneh, Emma and Holly; his great grandchildren, Ali, Zoie, Harper, Evalynn, Juliette, Cayson and Kingston; his great great grandchild Rylan; and his siblings, John, Patti Weller Norma (Bill) and Vicki Pontz (Rob Winkelman).
