He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Hunter and Betty Hunter (Sears); and his brothers, Clyde Hunter, Herschel Hunter, Jr. and Rufus Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Eva-Maria Schlutt; his children, Dieter Hunter (Sophie) of Pinckney and Sabrina Tobias (Steven) of Marshall, Michigan; and his granddaughters, Dominique Hunter, Danielle Hunter, Kayla Tobias and Chelsea Tobias.
