He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Jon Schmidt (Maryann) of Marshall and Cathy Smith of Olivet, Michigan; his grandchildren, Richard Schmidt of Marshall, Jon Schmidt, Jr. (Jessica) of Albion and Tiffini Schmidt of Marshall; and his great grandchildren, Georgianna, Gabriella, Madison, Elijah and Jameson.
