He is survived by: his parents, Virgil Thorndyke and Joan Thorndyke (DeVine); his wife Kay; his children, Julie Harmon (Tom) of Olivet, Nancy Thorndyke-Reed of Olivet and William "Bill" Thorndyke (Stacy) of Olivet; his grandchildren, Zachary Reed of Chicago, Samantha Reed of Chicago, Kaylee Harmon of Olivet and Joshua Harmon of Olivet; his pet Sophie; his siblings, JoAnn Chapman (Gary) of North Carolina, James Thorndyke (Donna) of Tennessee, Jay Thorndyke (Jean) of Bellevue, Jaci Thorndyke of Battle Creek, Jill Jacox of Battle Creek and Jed Thorndyke (Sonia) of Olivet; and his close friends, Bob Parker, Josh Stults, Leo Rice, Jim Swan and MacK Lipe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
