He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Shepherd and Trennie Shepherd (Hall); and his siblings, Junior, John Shepherd, Carol Vandenburg and Betty Sparks.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Shepherd (Hastings); his children, Gerald Shepherd (Lisa) and Tamara Hastings; his grandchildren, Brandon Ray (Stephanie), Bree Rathbun (Zack), Lance Adkins, Aryn Adkins and Andrick Kelly; and his sisters, Brenda Schiesser (Dale) and Kathy Shepherd. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
