Boakes (Marshall, Michigan), born in Grayling, Michigan, who passed away on March 16, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Boakes and Myrtle Clara Boakes (Silver); his brother Donald Boakes of John Boakes; and his sister-in-law Marguerite Boakes. He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Everett Scott Boakes (Monique) of Grand Rapids and Carolyn Cassar (George) of Grosse Pointe; his grandchildren, Anthony Stebila, Jonathan Boakes, Andrew Boakes, Mia Cassar and R. J. Cassar; and his sister-in-law Priscilla Boakes.
