He is survived by: his wife Avanel "Abby"; his children, Sue Raymond, Joseph Gillespie (Susan), Patrick Gillespie (Genny) and Connie Garvison (Carl); and his siblings, Margaret Chambers and Richard Gillespie. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
