He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Patterson; and his brothers, Charles Eugene Patterson and Leon Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Roberta K. Patterson; his children, Kathryn Wheatley (John) and William Patterson (Mary); his grandchildren, Will (Casandra), Blake, Amanda and John Michael; his father-in-law Fred Storr (Ruth); and his uncles, Dube Rodgers, Steve Rodgers and Raymond Rodgers. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
