She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon L. Newsome and Molly M. Newsome (Newsome); her siblings, Feddie Newsome, Mollie Newsome and Ada Marie Newsome; and her foster sister Spicy McPeek.
She is survived by: her husband Palmer Hamilton; her daughter Pamela Hamilton; and her sister Opal Newsome.
