He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William A. Mudge and Elizabeth V. Mudge; and his brother William Mudge (Bill). He is survived by: his children, Mark Mudge (Carla Schroer), Tom Mudge III (Diana Mudge), Kathleen Mudge and Heather Salas (Al Salas); his grandchildren, Hollyn Sekiguchi (Shun Sekiguchi), Thomas Mudge IV and Marcelo Salas; his niece Susan Gieler; his nephew William Mudge (Bill); and his cousins, Carol Prior, Christine Mudge-Grout and Margaret Mudge.
