He was predeceased by: his sister Barbara Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Shelby DeRocher; his children, Steven Kortum (Lori) of Columbia Heights, MN, Paul Kortum (Susan) of Marquette, John Kortum (Lizz) of Robbinsdale, MN, James Kortum (Angie) of Shoreview, MN and Linda Kortum of Fridley, MN; his grandchildren, Amanda Ward, Richard Kortum, Michael, Cody Kortum, Taylor, Jacob Kortum, Brandon and Sarah Kortum; and his sister Marilyn Laubenstein (William) of Kenosha, WI. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
