With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael J. Ellison (Marquette, Michigan), born in Royal Oak, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Ellison and Mary Ellison (Lange). He is survived by: his wife Patty Ellison of Powell Twp; his children, Mark Ellison (Erin) of Marquette and Thomas Ellison (Gennine) of Skandia; his grandchildren, Mark, Brianna, Jasmine, Elise, Ally and Kaeden; his siblings, DeeDee Porter of Port Charlotte, FL and Tom Ellison (Becky) of Ann Arbor, MI; and his in-laws, Kathy Lester (Chuck) of Lake Orion, MI, Pamela Wagner of Holly, MI, Bob Clancy of Lake Orion, MI, David Clancy of Davisburg, MI, Mary Cox (Roger) of Holly, MI and Suzanne Brannon (Michael) of Holly, MI.. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Canale Tonella Funeral Home and Cremation Services (526 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Cathedral (311 W Baraga Ave, Marquette, MI 49855).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to UPAWS or Trillium House.
