He is survived by: his wife Patricia Salani; his children, Dean William Schaefer (Bridget Koscielny) of Marquette, Amber Black-Pitcher (Tim) of Mason, MI and Shawn Eliason of Midland; his grandchildren, Timothy Pitcher II, Dean William Schaeffer II, Shayla Eliason and Braden Eliason; his great grandchildren, Lisa Hytinen-Abramson (Kurt), Timothy Pitcher III, William, Trevor and Michael Just; his brother George Francis Black of Sarasota, FL; his nephews, Jeff Black (Jean) and Rodney Mattson (Carol); and his niece Sandy Kivela.
