She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ranta and Mary Ranta (Laukka) of Green Garden; her husband Robert W. Hanson; and her brother Robert William Ranta. She is survived by: her children, Deanne Pynnonen (Scott Pynnonen) and Scott William Hanson (Lynndee); her sisters, Sheila Hoyles (Michael) of North Venice, FL and Catherine Peterson (Tony) of Port St; and her sister-in-law Nancy Ranta of Negaunee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marlene's name to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1700 W. Fair Ave., Marquette, MI 49855.
