He was predeceased by: his former wives, Diane Bunker and Sharon M. Bunker; and his granddaughter Danielle Mae Gardner. He is survived by: his children, Samuel Scott Gardner (Janet) of Marquette, Stephen Gardner (Laurie) of Marquette and Jodi Leaf (Steve Sullins) of Marquette; and his nephew Ross Doherty (Cindy) of Big Bay. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
