He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Arenz and Nellie Arenz (Walsh); his wife Aleta Arenz; and his sisters, Patricia (John Birch) and Nancy A. (David Gass).
He is survived by: his son John L. Arenz Jr. (Barbara); and his brother-in-law Richard F. Bell.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (401 W Kaye Ave, Marquette, MI 49855). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (1400 Wright St, Marquette, MI 49855).
