He was predeceased by: his parents, Evald Sommers and Tyyne Sommers (Hangas); his siblings, Rev. Lorraine Grislis of Winnipeg and David Sommers of Milwaukee; and his foster sister Vickie Vance.
He is survived by: his sisters, LaVerne Locke of Ishpeming and Susan Sommers of Garland Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
