It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Patrick Shirtz of Marquette, Michigan, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shirtz and Elizabeth Shirtz (Lompre). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Petz; his sons, Michael Shirtz (Pamela) of Sandusky, OH and Kris Shirtz (Jesse) of Marquette; his granddaughters, Lily and Mara Shirtz of Marquette; and his brother Greg Shirtz (Lisa) of Marquette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cancer Care of Marquette County or the Cedar Tree Institute.
