As Darlene departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Darlene. Though Darlene may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Koepp and Ethel Koepp; her significant other Jim Herkins; and her daughter Lisa Folkins (Peter). She is survived by: her children, Victoria Brickey (Jeff) of Kingsford, MI, Randal Johnson (Mary) of Portland, OR and Christopher Johnson of Marquette; and her siblings, Janice Little (Dick) and Sonny Koepp (Sharon) of Marquette. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Darlene was a compassionate soul and went out of her way to help those in need, whether through providing low-income housing, being a board member for the Salvation Army, or making numerous trips to Mexico with her motor home full of donations to be distributed to those in need.
