He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaino Maki and Minnie Maki (Dunquist); and his sister Gertrude Berendt. He is survived by: his wife Pirkko Marjatta Tamsi; his sons, Timothy Jack Maki of Wasilla, AK and Daniel Jack Maki of Newago; his granddaughter Sophie Maki of Wasilla, AK; his brother Marvin Maki (Bonnie) of Eben; and his brother-in-law Loren Berendt of Bridgman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
