She was predeceased by: her parents, James G. Smith and Roberta Smith (Ritchie); her husband Richard Retaskie; and her siblings, Elsie Marshall (Martin), Lillian Pinard (Elmo), Marilyn Betts, Jim, George, Robert and Therese Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Dean Retaskie and Gregory Shawn Retaskie (Jennifer Tavernier); her grandson Jesse; her siblings-in-law, Lola, Sandy Retaskie, Lorraine Smith and Michael Retaskie (Kim); her nieces and nephews, Marty, Maryann Marshall and Paris; and her close friends, Carmen and Terry Weigold. She is also survived by her 17 great-grandchildren.
