He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Wiersma and Alice Wiersma; his son Walter Wiersma, Jr.; and his siblings, Susan Faber and Bennie Wiersma.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Kruzel (Charles, Jr.), Jason Wiersma, Kris Wiersma and Kelly Bogaski. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Trina Bolt, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
