It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma May Abma of Marne, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on November 1, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Heemstra and Jessie Heemstra (Vander Muelen); her husband Martin Abma; her siblings, Evelyn Watson (Willard) and Charles Heemstra (Bessie); and her sister-in-law Barb Abma.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Abma, Sue Zimmer (Daniel), David Abma and John Abma (Traci); her granddaughters, Jessie, Cassandra, Sarah, Emily Abma and Annie Owen; her sister Josephine Fenske; and her brother-in-law John Abma. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
