She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Schuman and Amelia Schuman (Runk); her husband Nelson Truitt; her siblings, John, Henry, Dorothy, Rosie, Lydia, Walter, Alex, Mary and Amiel; and her son-in-law James Navarro.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Truitt (Doug), Connie Navarro and Christine Chase Jr. (Jack); her granddaughter Isabella Navarro; and her siblings, William Schuman, Robert Schuman (Betty), Ella Orvis and Jean Jasper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanilac County Humane Society in her honor.
