Phyllis Pickerel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2022, at the age of 95, Phyllis Pickerel of Marlette, Michigan, born in Clifford, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Ellery Swailes; her husbands, John Cargill (Jack) and Robert Pickerel; her grandson Damien Cargill; her sister Donna Howard; and her sons-in-law, Harlan Halvorsen and Donald Fry.
She is survived by: her children, John G. Cargill (Deana), Dennis A. Cargill (Sandie), Michael D. Cargill (Christine), James M. Cargill, Phillip E. Cargill, Jane Fry, Amanda Halvorsen and Patricia Bednaryczk (Mel); her stepsons, Douglas A. and David A. Pickerel; and her sisters, Marjorie Allen and Doris Wood. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that memorial contributions be made to either the First Presbyterian Church or the Marlette Regional Hospital.
