Norman Kolenda Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2021, at the age of 93, Norman Kolenda of Marlette, Michigan, born in Clawson, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul L. Kolenda and Lydia Kolenda (Matschulat); and his brothers, Louie, Ernie, Arnold, Roland, Daniel, Herb and Bill Kolenda.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Millen; his children, Norm Kolenda II, Thomas Kolenda and John Kolenda (Jamie); his grandchildren, Brooklyn and Isaiah Kolenda; and his brothers, John and Robert Kolenda.

Due to Covid 19 regulations we will adhere to the strict guidelines and are asking all visitors to bring and wear a mask or face covering during visitation and service.

“Norm helped my Mom pick out a Chevy Aveo, and it was one of the worst cars, that never wanted to start when you needed it. For some reason, nowadays, it is working just fine. No problems. Thanks Norm! The waitress - He told us about the waitress that he was talking to asked him, at the table, "Where's your wife?" He said, "Florida, looking for a house." She asked, "Why aren't you with her?" He said, "I trust her to pick out the right one. She said, "Wow! will u marry me?!" Good sense of humor!”
