He is survived by: his parents, Gerald Kappen and Catherine Kappen (Beckett) of Defiance, OH; his wife Tamara Lynn Kady; his sons, Anthony Kappen (Amanda Aldapa) of Charlotte and Jacob Kappen of Marlette; his siblings, Susie Maynard (Jim) of Howell, Joe Kappen (Michelle) of Dowling, Mary Shantz (Wayne) of Cass City, Tim Kappen (Ren) of Billerica, MA, Alice Zaleski (Steve) of Gagetown, William Kappen of Alabaster, AL, Peter Kappen (Tammy), Tammie Rettig (Tim) of Bryan, OH, Matthew Kappen (Lori) of Carlisle, PA and Michael Kappen (Tana) of Defiance, OH; his parents-in-law, Ronald and Joann Kady of Gagetown; and his siblings-in-law, Shane Kady (Sarah) of Marlette and Sara Kady (Robert Herek) of Gagetown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
