He was predeceased by: his parents, Irl Spear and Etta Spear (Arthur); his wife Phyllis Spear; his children, Donald, Alan Spear and Laurie Spear; and his siblings, Arthur Spear and Leola Necessary.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan McLeod (Michael); and his siblings, Erma Morse and George Spear (Kathy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
