He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Cripps and Alinda Cripps (Koerber); his siblings, Marilyn Hamilton, Patricia Hayes, Jack Cripps, Robert Cripps, Frances Pritchett, Dorthy Warner (Glen), George Cripps, Paul Cripps and Royal Cripps Jr.; his nieces and nephews, Deanne Recob, Dawn Langhorne, Cheryl Pearson, Karen Craft, Michael and Stephen Pearson; his parents-in-law, William and Evelyn Miller; and his siblings-in-law, E. James Miller, Della Rae Miller and E. Colleen Turcotte (Earl).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Cripps; and his children, Joseph Cripps, Jackie Cripps, Will Cripps and Terry Cripps. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
